The Scented Home version of Filippo Sorcinelli’s fragrance is the one that evokes a truly extraordinary place, rich in history and works of art, and the keeper of important relics of Christ’s Passion: the Church of the Cross, considered one of the jewels of Italian Baroque. This oratory, dating back to 1608, was built at the request of the Confraternity of the Sacrament and of the Cross, which is still active today and of which Filippo is a member, entrusted with specific roles as organist and artistic director. It speaks of the walls clad in gilded wood, finely decorated with carvings and reliefs; it speaks of the incense-laced footsteps leading toward the great high altar, like golden embroidery, within which the statue of the Dead Christ (a seventeenth-century wooden sculpture visible only once a year) is kept.But it also seeks to frame, in a synesthetic way, Federico Barocci’s altarpiece The Entombment of Christ, one of the most beautiful works by the painter from Urbino, completed in 1582, for which he also designed the frame.

In occasione della Milano Design Week 2024, la casa di profumi d’arte Filippo Sorcinelli presenta la fragranza per ambiente AMBROSIVS, dedicata alla città di Milano e alla sua Basilica di S. Ambrogio, facendo seguito al lancio dell’omonimo extrait de parfum avvenuto l’8 dicembre scorso. La fragranza è molto complessa ed articolata e prevalgono tra le altre, materie pregiate d’incenso, fava tonka, elemi, artemisia e betulla, incorniciata da accordi fumosi e di smog. Sul flacone la silhouette della facciata della medievale basilica ambrosiana.
